Blanc Brut, deuxième volet d’Intérieur Crème, est une approche du masculin – considéré dans son volume, sa matière, ses aspérités – sous l’angle d’un regard féminin. Deux « physicalités » se déploient sur scène : deux forces, qui tantôt s’assemblent, formant une même entité organique mouvante et multiple, et qui tantôt se partagent en deux entités à la fois opposées mais interdépendantes.
Il s’agit d’explorer les ressorts pulsionnels des corps, le mouvement brut, puissant, charnel et instinctif et d’en suivre les flux, les trajectoires communes, les architectures imaginaires.
Les mouvements sont abrupts puis s’enroulent, se répandent pour s’épuiser jusqu’à l’étourdissement, laissant émerger les états intérieurs du danseur.

Alarm–Signal played at Sound and Music Computing Conference, Barcelona
Concert around freesound
Diemo Schwarz performs the piece Alarm–Signal, for CataRT, controllers, and freesound sounds
Alarm sounds and signals are usually lying in wait all around us to alert our attention, warn us of danger, wake us up. This piece finally gives them a chance to express themselves freely, just what the freesound project was intended for.
“Alarm” and “signal” are the search terms used in freesound to find the sounds out of which this piece is exclusively constructed. Despite the startling nature of most of these sounds, the use of corpus-based concatenative synthesis techniques in the CataRT system makes it possible to compose smooth evolutions and soothing combinations of timbres, thereby reflecting on the inner qualities of these sounds that are richer than their everyday use.

Ce trio ne s’est pas formé depuis plus de deux ans car à la base un quartett ou Hamlet-Machine en duo, voilà où se situait la vérité ; si bien que de caves en bars ils n’ont pas joué avec Syd Barrett Deshit ni Elton John John DRK, encore moins Scarlett Boulezhon ou Ramiroc Bosac, n’ont jamais coupé de têtes ni manoeuvré de guillotines mais ont déjà oeuvré à Gaza dans l’explosion de tunnels en tout genre avec des artifices sonores jamais employés auparavant: saxophone à poing, clarinette fuselée, mini-drones, le tout commandé par le grand Ohrdinaturing.

Exciting sound art festival, Montreuil
The first deambulatory sound art event “FESTIVAL D’EXPÉRIMENTATIONS SONORES” takes place in Montreuil, France, with performances in unusual places such as a whig workshop, a van, a hairdresser’s saloon, an elevator. MTBF will team up with guitar magician Cyril Touzé for a musical exploration of the earth’s stratigraphy.

Concert 2: New Computer Music by LAM Network members
Performance “Rien du tout” with Diemo Schwarz and Sam Britton using real time concatenative synthesis:
Drawing on compositional models proposed by John Cage and Luc Ferrari, we assert that it is possible, through a process of re-composition to record environmental sounds and interpret and contextualise them into a musical framework. We propose to demonstrate the possibilities of such an approach by using the CataRT corpus based concatenative synthesis engine as a tool for real-time analysis and catagorisation of recorded sound whilst simultaneously affecting a process of re-synthesis using specific compositional strategies and techniques. We will present various derivatives of this approach in a performance scenario where the emphasis will be based on capturing sound events in real-time using microphones and processing these recordings using CataRT. During the duration of the performance we hope to be able to start with nothing at all (Rien de tout) and by recording and re-composing environmental sound, evolve a musical structure by tracing a non-linear path through the increasing corpus of recorded sound and thereby orchestrating a counter-point to our own linear perception of time. Our aim is to construct a compositional framework from any given source material that may be interpreted as being musical by virtue of the fact that it’s parts have been intelligently re-arranged according to specific sonic and temporal criteria.
