The Knarrevik nightstand is the perfect size for a short-throw video projector, but it is tedious to move around. The solution: add wheels, fixed below an additional plate taken from a second Knarrevik (it is only 13€).

1. Get 4 wheels and some 8 mm plywood to affix them to. Remove the white plastic feet from the 4 legs.

2. Cut out 2 strips from the plywood that can slide under the folded-in edges of the metal plate. It will be held in place by the black screws that affix the legs. The toughest part is to drill 8 additional holes at the bottom of the legs at the right positions. I used an M8 metal drill and a round metal file to correct the inevitable misalignments with the screw holes in the plate.

3. Pre-drill through the 8 plate holes into the plywood, affix the wheels with 16 8mm wood screws, and mount the legs to the plate. Check the angles before mounting the 2 other plates to the existing screw holes.

4. That’s it, enjoy your moveable projector stand! The remaining parts still make for a small side table, but could need some diagonal trussing to make it more stable.

A deep dive into the plasticity of the voice and the fathomlessness of embodied electronics. The plastic edge and the internal body. How can the voice make visible what escapes sight? Through improvisation, Guylaine Cosseron and Diemo Schwarz deal with the duality and complementarity between vocal performance and digital tools. A poetic work that questions the relationship between humans, animality and machines.
Guylaine Cosseron is a singer, vocalist and composer, Artistic director of Cie Vocal Unlimited in Normandy. Specialist in improvisation and the use of the voice as a musical instrument. Her eclectic voice, diverted in search of an internal sound world through great vocal technicality visiting all the music of the world through free improvisation.

Diemo Schwarz plays with electronic materials rich in timbres and textures, exploring different corpora of sound using gestural controllers, thus allowing expressiveness and the body to dialogue with the digital instrument. His use of concatenative synthesis recomposes the space of sounds and questions their intrinsic qualities. By freeing them from their usual contexts, they reveal unsuspected riches.

Guylaine Cosseron & Diemo Schwarz, Audio Foundation, Auckland, Feb 2024 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aq-WuaFvQew
